Join us for a spectacular conclusion to our inaugural season! The Seattle Bach Festival is thrilled to present a program of glorious baroque music featuring a full baroque orchestra, stunning choir, and exceptional vocal soloists. We’re bringing you two of Bach’s most beloved cantatas: the uplifting and iconic BWV 140 “Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme” (Sleepers Wake), and the deeply moving BWV 147 “Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben” (Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring), featuring that unforgettable chorus. To add to the festive atmosphere, we’ll also be performing Telemann’s vibrant Concerto for 3 Oboes and 3 Violins, which showcases baroque instrumental virtuosity as well as playful conversations and teamwork between the instruments.
Imagine: The rich sounds of the orchestra, the soaring voices of the choir and soloists, all coming together to celebrate the genius of Bach and the brilliance of Telemann. This is a show you won’t want to miss!
