Sunghee Kim is a distinguished organist and pianist with over 25 years of experience in performance and music education. Recently relocated to Everett, WA, she currently serves as the organist at Edmonds United Methodist Church, where her inspiring performances and dedication enrich the community.
Previously, Sunghee served as Assistant Professor of Organ and Director of Chapel Music at Valparaiso University and held a faculty position at Pennsylvania State University, Abington. She earned a Doctor of Music from Indiana University and a Master’s degree from the University of North Texas. Her exceptional talent has been recognized with prestigious accolades, including first prizes in the Fort Wayne National Organ Competition and the William C. Hall Organ Competition.
Beyond her musical career, Sunghee is pursuing a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. Drawing on her deep understanding of music’s emotional and expressive power, she integrates this perspective into her work as a performer and educator, fostering creativity and meaningful connections through her artistry.
